“Hear the Voice of God”

Date: Sunday; March 11, 2012
Speaker: Sister Patricia Nixon (Exhorter)
Scripture Title: John 4:1-4
Subject Text: “Hear the Voice of God”
Key Points:
“So remember to ask yourself these questions If you truly desire to know if you are hearing from god or someone else. And we know who that someone else is."

1)    The first thing we must do is see if the impression is in agreement with the Bible.
2)    The thing we would know is; if the words I am receiving going to make me more like Christ.
3)    We are also told to see wise council throughout our lives as we try to get an understanding of what is of God and from God in our daily walk with Him.
4)    Is it consistent with how god has shaped me?
5)    Does the impression concern my responsibility
6)    Is it convicting rather than condemning?
7)    Lastly, do I sense God’s peace about it?

Please, seek the right council to understand how to sincerely hear God’s true voice. Don’t allow yourselves to be deceived. We all love you!!!!

Founder's Day Celebration

We at AllenChapel Amecbr would like to thank everyone that attended Founder's Day with us yesterday. It was a moving and eye open experience. The sermon "Will you be a witness?" preached by Rev. Johnathan Augustine was very moving including the alter call of his wife Roslyn Satchel Augustine. Praise and thanks be to God for the moving testimony according to St. Matthew in a very appealing and entertaining dialogue. Lets not for get our founder Richard Allen whom became the keeper of our flock so many years ago (Exodus 3:1:4) you can see a complete history of his efforts here http://www.earlyamerica.com/review/spring97/allen.html. The testimony of St. Matthew (Matthew 28:18:20)--"And Jesus came and spake unto me saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo,
I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
